How to eat pineapple?

Pineapple: The juicy sweet fruit that won't make you fat. Is there anything better than this exotic vitamin bomb? And yet there are people who don't like them. My roommates, for example. That doesn't stop me from buying them regularly. Fresh, of course, not the faint variant of canned. The problem is, I usually have to eat those delicious discs alone. In the old days I first cut the upper part of the pineapple, then that annoying chlorophyll was already gone. Then I started on the first disc, one every day. The rest was covered and went into the fridge. By the time I started on the last lower part after a few days, this was usually brown, when no mold spores came to spoil the fun. I noticed that the first disc was still disappointing, unlike the sweet lower disc.
