Stress in school occurs with many causes at school but the main reason is that the learner is not able to get along well at school for the following reasons: -
-They get low marks
-Some of their peers are bullies
-Some of their teachers do not like it at all
-They are afraid of trials
The main source of frustration for a student or anyone else comes from within as most students think there must be a change in the environment around them, namely: their peers or teacher or parents, and internally it means their thoughts, their feelings. and the emotions that turn into actions are the source of their stress and not something that comes from the environment.
Depression is accompanied by other emotions such as: -
-Feeling lonely
-Feeling unwelcome
-Feeling incompetent
-Feeling superior
-Refusing to accept standards that lack perfection
These feelings can be the cause of depression or vice versa, that is: stress can be a source of these feelings, I will discuss depression using the story of a depressed person "Dipsy" and a person without depression "Hipsy".
Dipsy has a deep fear of doing many things in her life but she likes to challenge herself, she is scared when she listens to someone who is abusing someone, she thinks "What if this person comes to talk to me like this?", She starts to come up with solutions to this thought.
Hipsy, on the other hand, is very focused on her goals, has a positive outlook on her life and is interested in building healthy relationships with others, focuses on speaking in a polite manner and does not allow anyone to cross boundaries. with him when he is upset about the person you are talking to.
Dipsy thinks he has an open mind and can accept any invitation from anyone to do anything, he has no limits to knowing anyone and he thinks he is right, he thinks "Why should I keep someone I don't know ?, I like to know people" He doesn't see when someone makes him feel bad, he just ignoring her feelings and continuing the conversation nonetheless, she believes that by doing so she is building a better relationship than anyone else.
By looking at both students from a broader perspective, Hipsy has a better relationship than Dipsy, achieves her goals and many students view her as a good personality to know, Dipsy on the other hand has feelings at the end of each day of loneliness and herself. he comes home and finds that he can't talk about what he is hearing from his siblings or his parents, he doesn't know that he is depressed.
Hipsy comes home with a lot of energy, eats lunch and prepares to go to the gym, believing that having a healthy body can make her more successful, at the end of the school year she gets higher marks than Dipsy.
Dipsy tries to study hard but at the end of the school year he gets lower marks than Hipsy. Hipsy and Dipsy are not friends even though they are in the same class. Dipsy respects Hipsy and is jealous of her strong personality.
Dipsy believes in being challenged which is why she is so focused on relationships that she thinks it is a challenge for her, she can accept mistreatment from anyone and moreover she is very attached to students who mistreat her!
After reading this article in more detail, I will explain what Dipsy should do to have a better school life, Dipsy should: -
Do not accept abuse from anyone by arousing the feelings when someone speaks to you, when they feel bad as a reaction to the abuse, they should politely ask the person if they do not accept such treatment "Please talk to me in another way because I do not accept this treatment", doing so for a few months. better for him which makes his stress levels good for him.
Dipsy should not be attached to students who make her feel bad, it should start when the student makes her feel bad and avoid her. He should stick to students who make him feel normal and who add value to his relationship with them.
Dipsy should not treat anyone badly, that is: should not make anyone feel bad by constantly trying to treat other students in a positive way.
Dipsy has to get close to non-bullying students, talk to other students who respect her.
Dipsy should focus on her life by planning her school year and breaking down her plan into goals and writing them down on paper.
By doing so, Dipsy gets better over a period of 6 months, he has to assume that everything cannot be changed overnight.
Now Dipsy is free to know anyone and has no barriers to hiding her depression as she used to do before because she became stronger and happier.
