How to make lampion yourself with paper plates
You can make a lampion from two paper plates very quickly. Cut or cut out a part and stick thin translucent paper behind. That can be kite paper, rice paper, or transparent paper. You can come up with all kinds of themes for your lampion: animals, monsters, numbers or letters, objects, ghost, flowers, etc.
You can also paint the plates with regular acrylic or placard paint/school paint. I left the sign white because I didn't want to bring out paint. Hence ordinary embellishment with felt-tip pen, but you can see, that is also possible! It's also easy and doesn't mess with paint. :)

Buy one led light with switch (battery) in store. Make sure you hold an opening at the top so you can turn the light switch on and off. Or leave the plates whole, but simply attach them together with a paper clip or wire.
