How to make your own applesauce
Make your own apple sauce...
There is no tastier apple puree than homemade applesauce! I myself like apple sauce the best when it's a little hot. And because you make it yourself, you can also make it exactly to your own taste: with pieces, without pieces, watery or just a little thicker, with sugar or just Without... By experimenting you will find the perfect recipe for you!
Supplies:
- 1 kilo of apple (gold nets or elstars are best suited for this purpose)
- sugar to taste
- cinnamon to taste
This is how you make it:
- Peel the apples and cut them into cubes - if you like apple sauce with pieces, keep the pieces a little bigger
- Put the apples in a very thin layer of water to boil
- After a quarter of an hour you check if the apples are already soft. If so, stir until all the pieces of the apple have turned out to be a bit coarse, but you can do something about that later. If they are not yet soft, you can cook for a little longer.
- When the apples are cooked into a mush you can press the pieces of apple that are still in it through a sieve to make the mush less coarse. If you don't do this you actually made apple compote... Also tasty;)
- Taste the mush and season with sugar and cinnamon.
Eat tasty!
