How to remove boiler stone
Bah there is boiler stone in the whistle kettle. For a few days it has been rattling in the kettle. I throw away the last bit of water with junk.
Boiler stone is because you boil hard water. So it's actually lime deposit.
It occurs not only in flute boilers, but also in kettles and other devices. Hard water breaks devices. So you have to descale them.
With me, they are whole sheets as you can see in the picture. They are hard.
I put a layer of kitchen vinegar in the whistle kettle (they say you need to put 5 cm of vinegar in it but I can't see that). It will stay until tomorrow. Every now and then I'm embarrassed about it.
Tomorrow I'll shoot things out and rinse it well.
Anti boiler stone sponges are also available for sale. These costs around 9 euro. You can put it in the kettle, kettle or appliance and just let it sit and then boil the water.
I don't know how big they are. I can also only fill my kettle by the spout, so that sponge is not easy to take in and out.
