How to use WhatsApp Web even when your phone is not connected to the Internet

WhatsApp, a Meta-owned corporation (formerly known as Facebook), now allows users to receive and send messages through their PC without requiring their mobile devices to be turned on. Previously, you had to have WhatsApp installed on your phone and the device had to be connected to the internet in order to use WhatsApp on a computer.

Whatsapp has now created a desktop version so customers may utilize the platform even when their phone isn't online. You can save data from background apps and ensure that your activity is not dependent on the condition of your phone without having to connect to the internet.

How to use WhatsApp Web with no smartphone.

First, you must connect your device to the web, desktop, or portal, and you may thereafter use WhatsApp without connecting your smartphone.

Here's the guide to connecting it, step by step.
1. Open WhatsApp on your phone and tap the three-dotted icon in the top right corner of the screen.

2. Select "Linked devices" and then "Multi-device beta" again. WhatsApp will then display a page explaining the feature's restrictions and other details.

3. Now, tap on the "Join Beta" button and press on the "Continue" button. Once done, you simply need to link your smartphone to WhatsApp Web by scanning the QR code.

Some features are not available yet available.

•    The live location is not accessible to connected devices. That is, you must return to your smartphone to access this feature.
•    On iOS, the feature is limited in one way: you cannot delete chats or messages from a linked device.
•    Smartphone use is not entirely out! You must still log into WhatsApp every 14 days to maintain the WhatsApp web beta version on non-smartphone devices; otherwise, all other devices will be disconnected.
•    Messages containing link previews via WhatsApp Web and creating/viewing a broadcast list on associated devices are not supported by the multi-device beta feature.
•    Tablets or iPads are still unable to use the new ‘Multi-device meta’ version.

The Bottom Line

At least four devices can be connected to a phone using the new feature. WhatsApp Web, Desktop, and Portal can still be used even if your primary phone is disconnected from the internet.
