Dear Hans, the humanist voice is increasing in strength. Today, on World Humanism Day, humanist organizations around the world show what they stand for. And that is desperately needed. In many countries, there is almost no freedom to decide your own life. We are in solidarity with them.

I would also like to take advantage of World Humanism Day to thank you for your involvement. Not only do we get more and more members, we also grow the number of donors and loyal followers like you. That's nice. The Humanistic Covenant is an unsubsidised organisation. We depend on people who actively support us.

IIn the Netherlands, the Humanistic Covenant is committed to a free and humane society. We come into action when choices about life, love, thinking and death are endangered. We are committed to people who are disadvantaged and not sufficiently seen or heard.
This is how we stand up for the right to a dignified end of life and fight the taboo on
abortion. We represent humanistic spiritual guardians. They are professional singers who do fantastic work in the coronacrisis. This structural work is only possible thanks to our members.

#Humanisme is a philosophy that puts people first and is based on the value of people. Humanism strives for the good, justice and the use of one's mind. It's about how people can live a happy and happy life.
