I control my life. Not some kind of illness.
Thirty years, in June I thirty-one. I carry the Huntington's disease gene, the same number of repetitions as my mother. My mom is 1.5 years ago departed at the age of 53. In addition, my father gave me a dose of repetitions that are in the grey area of Huntington. Aka Huntington fucked me twice. Not a scientist who has so far been able to tell me what effect the double diagnosis has on the effects of the disease. And this is just the tip of the iceberg that has become visible in the last three years, in every blog I will be more and more about it telling so it won't be a huge depressing story right now. 😊
So my name is Cindy, I have two daughters (number one is three years old and in May the second will be one year) and Richard is my friend. He is also the father of our daughters. There is a lot to read about Huntington, both in the Netherlands and abroad. A lot of people start blogs about their experiences with Huntington, and I'm very happy about that. Because the more renown , the better. So now you might think, another blog from someone with an illness, Huntington. That's right, in a way, only my approach will be a little different, and every person is unique, which makes you always have unique blogs.
