Short content of the story
Virginie lives with her parents and two brothers in Muizon. She has an older brother, Frederico, who is now 30 and a younger brother Francisco, 12 years old. Frederico is schizophrenic, his illness revealed during military service. In the end, they had to get him admitted to an institution because he became too violent. Her mother worked as an elderly assistant and retired in 1998. Her father is a bricklayer.
It's 1999:
In a soap opera, Virginie sees a lonely girl accusing her father of abuse. And how that lonely girl gets all the attention. Virginie who has no friends at school comes to a drastic decision. She says she was raped by her father. Of course, she suddenly enjoys full attention but becomes more and more entangled in the web of lies she spreads.
