The basic Dutch I learnt from a friend is very rusty but I hope I got it semi-right?
I'm writing from Accra, the capital city of Ghana; a country found in West Africa that straddles the equator.
In contrast to many other countries, we don't have the four seasons of spring, summer, autumn and winter. We enjoy the minor and major rainy seasons, and the minor and major dry seasons.
April is crawling to a close; the minor rains are late and the weather is hot and dry.
And with the corona virus attempting to cripple us at the knees, it's uncomfortable wearing a mask.
But it's either a few hours of mild discomfort as I run errands before running home or a few weeks of excruciating death in an isolation ward far from the comfort of family and friends.
It's a no-brainer.
