In Genesis 1, meat was not on the human menu
Society pays a lot of attention to animal welfare, environmental issues and sustainability.
When preaching about a Bible section that mentions all kinds of animals, it is often not paid attention or, at most, a sentence. Christian magazines also do not pay attention to the subject.

That starts right away in Genesis 1.
Very important things are said there about the relationship between animals and humans. The animals were created with us. And they were created according to their nature. We must not prevent them from living according to their nature. God created all the different animals because He is pleased with them. He is also honored by it. The animals praise God by being there, by living as He created them. That is why we should not treat biodiversity carelessly.”

Vegetarian food is recommended.“In Genesis 1, meat was not on the human menu. It wasn't until Genesis 9 that eating meat was explicitly allowed, and that happened in a negative context of man's evil. It falls under the brokenness of creation. In the Old Testament, meat was eaten, but very little. It was a huge luxury. Eating the large-scale meat that we do today is only possible because animals are treated in a certain way. We should go back more to biblical temperance when it comes to eating meat.’
Stewardship
Man has a responsibility to God, who is the Creator of man and animal, because man is created with more abilities. With animal ethicists, you can say “man is just an animal”, a kind of equality, but then you also deprive people of their responsibility.“We have not been good stewards. The numbers of wild animals on Earth are rapidly declining, and that is a prelude to the extinction of species. “Indeed, trends have been negative for a long time and turning them in the right direction is one of humanity's great challenges. The economic processes need to be redesigned so that our negative impact on the living environment decreases.’
