It's September 2006. A friend comes along with these pictures. And flame sold immediately. He falls on the nose and the ass. The fact that it is a bonk rust for the rest is unimportant.

A few weeks before, we made the first trip with a westlander, which we worked on for 4 years. (More on that in another blog)

Flame is in love. This is a model he has dreamed of for years. There aren't that many of them well what arguments do you put on when you're in love.

And I? I like every new adventure. At that time am still fairly naive with regard to the restoration of ships. Don't shy away from getting a lot of your sleeves and would like to learn new things.

The choice is made quickly. The westlander is going out and this beautiful model saloon boat is in its place. This was also possible because we rented a boat shed at that time and therefore had a shelter for this vulnerable boat.

Below I share a number of photos of how we found this boat in a warehouse in Amsterdam.
