Inspection In Our Drentsche Landscape

#KLEURSCHAKERING 😍 This afternoon (1-9-2020) I took this picture at 17.30 pm standing on the shore of the Wold Aa 😍

The Wold Aa is a canalized river in Southwest Drenthe.
The Wold Aa starts near the VAM site in Wijster, municipality of Midden-Drenthe as Ruiner Aa. The Wold Aa has a function for the drainage of the higher soils of Central Drenthe. The Wold Aa flows into the Drentsche Hoofdvaart, which has a connection to the IJsselmeer.
It #landschap along the Wold Aa consists largely of meadow and forest land. In a recreational sense, the Wold Aa, apart from fishing, has little meaning. Artworks (fixed concrete bridges, vertically movable reservoirs) are located at uncontrolled distances. Side branches are the “Kraake”, the “Riete” and the “Koekanger-Aa”.

After the periods of flooding around #Meppel has the water board #Reest and weeding made plans to improve the drainage of the area and to increase the possibilities of water storage in extreme weather conditions.
