At the moment I read a booklet, of which I could not find any review on the Internet. In addition, my search results showed that the author of the booklet was not a well-known writer. Now that I am halfway through, the booklet is not only very important for me, but also the occasion for a new interlude.

Right now, as the eager person I am, I wanted to travel. Last year I visited Antwerp around this time for example for a new education. Because the travel time from the Netherlands to Belgium started to stand against me and I did not find a job in Antwerp to possibly stay there, I decided to stop the training. In the end, for the well-known reason, I was happy again that I had not stayed...

Although I don't know boredom, I know what frustration is. You are forced to be restricted in what you want to achieve. At times like this, I think I can make progress in very different areas.

In Chinese philosophy, Yang stands for energy, while Yin stands for matter. Everything in our world is energy and matter, and one can never do without the other. People who naturally have a Yang temperament are constantly busy, recover quickly after exercise but actually do not know rest. People with a Yin temperament have opposite, but certainly no less important qualities. They are naturally calm, thoughtful and cautious. For them, passivity threatens. Hence, the ancient Chinese sages warn of excesses and recommend a middle ground. Yang needs to be tempered by Yin and vice versa, to create a balance.

In the current crisis, it is difficult for many people to stay at home. They want to move forward, but, like me, get (sometimes) frustrated when that is not yet possible or succeeded. Another group of people feels exactly the opposite. For example, I once read about a girl who thought it was a relief to not have to do so much now, when others are not constantly busy and just playing a game at home. A Yin freed from the pressure of being a Yang?

I hope you'll write more of these, I loved reading it! As Eastern philosophy teaches us, balance in all things in life is key, and a pause can be just the right opportunity to become better at it. Once we get comfortable with the space it creates (and that... Show more
@Adriana I put very much effort into writing this blog, as I wanted to write for a broader audience on Yoors this time! I am happy to hear it made such a positive impression on you!
Thank you for guiding me here, I am so glad you did. I really enjoyed reading this. I am curious about the booklet and what else it had to say. I do believe that we all have a bit of both. My husband is Yang with a bit of Yin and I am the opposite Yin with Yang. I hope to read more on this!
@Mónica I am glad you enjoyed reading this! Yes indeed, when you look closely to the symbol in the title... If there's enough interest I will think about a sequel blog :)
I was very interested in the way you elaborated on important ideas, not least of them: finding one’s own sense of balance between the two extremes that live in each of us. Another important idea is that we can turn frustration into a positive force, one that ... Show more
@Teresa Seia I am glad you read with attention and interest :) I consider clarity a big compliment! (I hope that the English translation was close to the original too ;) By all means, thank you very much!

This is really great text! I must spend more time on Yoors, missing a lot of cool stuff. I think we all have a bit of Yin and Yang inside...Hope you will write more texts like this.
@Zeljka Thanks a lot for your compliment! I hope it will be of value for all people on Yoors! And yes indeed, if you look closely to the symbol in the title, you will remark that Yin has some Yang and Yang has some Yin in itself!
