Interlude: balance sheet
At the moment I read a booklet, of which I could not find any review on the Internet. In addition, my search results showed that the author of the booklet was not a well-known writer. Now that I am halfway through, the booklet is not only very important for me, but also the occasion for a new interlude.
Right now, as the eager person I am, I wanted to travel. Last year I visited Antwerp around this time for example for a new education. Because the travel time from the Netherlands to Belgium started to stand against me and I did not find a job in Antwerp to possibly stay there, I decided to stop the training. In the end, for the well-known reason, I was happy again that I had not stayed...
Although I don't know boredom, I know what frustration is. You are forced to be restricted in what you want to achieve. At times like this, I think I can make progress in very different areas.
In Chinese philosophy, Yang stands for energy, while Yin stands for matter. Everything in our world is energy and matter, and one can never do without the other. People who naturally have a Yang temperament are constantly busy, recover quickly after exercise but actually do not know rest. People with a Yin temperament have opposite, but certainly no less important qualities. They are naturally calm, thoughtful and cautious. For them, passivity threatens. Hence, the ancient Chinese sages warn of excesses and recommend a middle ground. Yang needs to be tempered by Yin and vice versa, to create a balance.
In the current crisis, it is difficult for many people to stay at home. They want to move forward, but, like me, get (sometimes) frustrated when that is not yet possible or succeeded. Another group of people feels exactly the opposite. For example, I once read about a girl who thought it was a relief to not have to do so much now, when others are not constantly busy and just playing a game at home. A Yin freed from the pressure of being a Yang?
