The honey bee is very important for our food chain, but they are struggling in the Netherlands. They don't have enough food to survive. Therefore, on this day extra attention to this beast, which collects nectar and converts it to honey with enzymes. The bee then ensures the pollination of our flowers, flowers and trees. We can't live without bees!

Did you know that a bee has a pollen basket in which he keeps the pollen in? That hive is on the outside of his β€œtibia”. With some honey saliva, the pollen becomes more sticky and stays better in the β€œhive”.

And another funny fact: bees breathe on the sides of their rear bodies!
