Since 2011, every year on February 27, attention has been drawn to raising awareness of the impact of global warming and sea ice on polar bears. The organization “Polar Bears International” not only studies polar bears, but also helps them protect and multiply through special breeding programs through international zoos and animal parks.

The Polar Bears International team consists of passionate conservationists, scientists and volunteers who are working to build a future for polar bears across the Arctic.

Through media, science and advocacy, their mission is to try to inspire people to care about the Arctic, its future threats and its connection to the global climate. Their biggest mission is therefore to preserve polar bears and the sea ice on which these bears depend.
