Intoxication

I'm a fan of all things plant and bee, so I enjoy exploring different climates and geography for the simple pleasure of experiencing different species. One of my absolute favourite flowers in the tropics is the frangipani or plumeria (also known as the egg yolk flower - 雞蛋花 - in China). They used to grow all over the university campus where I taught in Guangzhou. On my way to class, I'd pick up a few fallen flowers to use as a nosegay throughout my teaching day. They have an unforgettable scent.

Het zijn prachtige bloemen met dikkere bloembladeren dan je normaal ziet en hun geur is heel subtiel.Ik heb a Hoya Carnosa met wasbloemen. Die verspreiden hun geur pas als het donker is.Ze ruiken dan ook super. Het is toch opmerkelijk dat ook bloemen het verschil tussen dag en nacht merken. Dat zonder ogen!0/

@Toto Animo - yes! You just reminded me of the gorgeous texture of the petals. They are gloriously thick and waxy. And there is something wonderful about flowers that come alive at night.
