Is hypnosis nonsense?

The phenomenon of hypnosis is often associated with magic, juggling and circus. Wrong, because hypnosis is real and therefore not a trick. Hypnosis is a way to put your brain in a super relaxed state. As a result, you are more open to suggestions, so that your senses react differently to stimuli. We investigated exactly how that works in the smallest theater in Amsterdam with neuroscientist Jacob Jolij from the University of Groningen. #hypnose
