Is PHP A Programming Language?

What exactly is PHP?

You might have come across this acronym somewhere and don't know what it means. This term is not strange to developers and coders.The acronym PHP originally meant Personal Homepage. But now it is known as Hypertext Preprocessor, although this acronym is known to be recursive because the abbreviation is the first word, so the full meaning doesn't follow the abbreviation.

PHP currently has 8 versions. The first version was first launched in 1994 about 25 years ago. PHP is a free programming language used for server-side scripting and is implemented by many developers in creating websites, customer relationship management systems, applications and lots more. Furthermore, PHP is a general-purpose language that can be rooted into HTML and used in making GUIs and other similar projects.
