Big news: Repentance paves way for revival

A special activity is taking place in America. Especially when you look at it from a Christian perspective. What is happening now in Asbury, Kentucky, is called revival/revival. Large crowds of students meet at the local university to seek God and accept Him into their lives. The sacrifice that Jesus Christ made some 2000 years ago is now (again) bearing fruit. Not only people from the region, but from all over the planet, many are flocking to where it happens.

From the Netherlands, among others. Wander Ipema is there. According to him, the Holy Spirit Himself draws people to the altar. “They confess their sins and make amends with God. Many young people come to faith there.”, he says in an interview with Revive . And that, in my opinion, is also what God promises in His Word. Repentance paves the way to revival.

In the past centuries, we have seen this several times; including in Azusa Street , Los Angeles. And that's why, frankly, I'm also happy to get a glimpse of it in the church where I go myself. I wrote there last time regarding. I think it is an impetus for a magisterial movement by God in our own region, in our own country.

Wander Ipema calls on the churches: “Step aside to let God do His work. Go make God great and put yourself aside. Worship Him; put Him at the center. Then the Holy Spirit will really move among us.” Give God space; these are words that perfectly match what I've had the pleasure of sharing here and there a few times. After all, it's about You; about You alone Jesus!
