De wandeling begint in het schilderachtige middeleeuwse stadje Noli, gelegen aan de Ligurische kust tussen Savona en Finale Ligure. Met haar smalle steegjes, oude wachttorens en ontspannen sfeer is het al een bestemming op zich. Maar voor wie wat avontuur zoekt, ligt er een prachtig pad richting de Grotta dei Falsari – ook wel de “grot van de vervalsers” genoemd.
