John Travolta appears to have a lot of Instagram accounts
Recently, John Travolta showed pictures of his birthday party on his official Instagram account and I congratulated him in a comment. For those wondering how I know it's his official Instagram account, you can tell by the blue check mark after his name on his Instagram account. That aside. Since then, I've been getting one so-called John Travolta follower after another on my Instagram account. One shows in his account that it is a private account, the other an official account, where he has placed the blue check mark in the photos because you can't put it next to your name yourself, another says it's the official fan account, another says it's an unofficial fan account, and there are countless variants. They are all John Travolta fake accounts. John Travolta himself has nothing to do with it and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like the fact that there are so many fake accounts in his name either. They are all accounts created by others or bots. Some also send you a private message that made me laugh at one private message this morning. That's because he warned me in English that I should watch out for the actor's fake accounts. I've already reported and blocked at least ten John Travolta fake accounts in the past few days.
Now, John Travolta is not the only person who causes others to create an account in his name, for example, Instagram regularly warns you not to accept accounts in their name, and I have already experienced someone else pretending to be me. Fortunately, most of my followers didn't fall for it and some sent me a private message about it so I could take action. Something I also did, only Instagram refuses to delete that account for some reason, when it's obvious that account isn't mine. I only have one and I think that's more than enough.
So be careful when adding someone on Instagram or other social media. When in doubt, you can always send a message to the person you want to follow if you have a contact address.
