This man made a covenant with the devil in which he gave him his wife and children in exchange for much money, cattle and land. The devil told John to grab a frog and a hen, to whom he should sew his eyes and bury them alive on Good Friday at twelve o'clock in the evening, in a secluded place, then he should summon his soul and heart. John did what he commanded. After several days, the man realized that business was thriving.

In the afternoon he returned from the work and observed that the bull was still lurking around the house. He thought, “it will be from some neighbor.” The next day he was aroused by the fuss caused by the animals, imagined that the cause could be the black bull. He tried to get him out of his territory, but this was not possible because no rejo could stand.
Tired and worried about the strange incident he lay down, but at twelve o'clock in the evening he was awakened by an imposing roar. When he reached the pasture, he realized that thousands of prayed were grazing from one side to the other. Their wealth increased more and more. Legend says for many years he was the richest man in the region.
