Just a little thought in times of '#coronatijd':
A giraffe's coffee is cold when he's down his throat.
Have you ever thought of that?
No, hey. You only think of yourself!
Just now it is of the utmost importance to look at each other. You do this not only by taking ALL the security measures that are necessary, but rather by thinking of the other by not committing “stupidity” by still opening a run-in, by wanting to go to church, by still... Just fill in it yourself.
We must think of the elderly, the weak and the chronically ill in society and cannot 'play with their health'.
In our case, money we do not take unnecessary risks. I've been home with the kids since Friday. We limit groceries to one store and then immediately shop for the whole week. Marion can go to the clients of 's-Heeren Loo as long as possible and acceptable. They, too, need to eat and are very susceptible and vulnerable! Think about this when you're going to shop fun.
We need to think about our own health and remain responsible for the clients Marion is responsible for. These guys are completely dependent on a team of highly dedicated caregivers and colleagues.
We live in an exciting time, which is going to have a huge impact on all of us, not just the shopkeepers, the freelancers et cetera. I fully understand the emotions that come loose with the shopkeepers, to buy as much locally as possible. But let us remain real in what is really 'necessity' and what 'can wait for ity'.
Marion and I are very helpful if we can postpone and limit shopping for as long as possible, so that Marion can continue to care for as long as possible! We have our responsibility in this, and we must take it, despite the risks it entails for our own health! (neuromuscular disease)
I hope that you, in our interest and all the other 'caregivers, will not underestimate the seriousness of the situation!
