#lezen

Like almost everyone #weekeind I'm also on time last weekend #risen come with my #littleboat the #Biesbosch to enter.
I can #luscious #savour of the #sunrise , the #rust and the #awakening #nature .
Of course, it does hurt a bit when the #alarmclock goes so early, especially because I too #weekeind go to bed a little later, then during the week.

But I always feel a certain #spanning and also #resource once I arrive at the port.
- Relaxation because I know that I am going to glide over the water, let my little engine propel the boat gently and, almost, no one is awake in the Biesbosch at the time I will be there.
- Tension because #photography my #hobby and #passie is, and I never know what I'm going to run into and how I'll be able to do it #photographing .

I hope again and again that I have a #bever come across bowl doing “something fun”.
I'm thinking of nibbling on an overhanging #so , or at least get out of the water.

For example, I “simmered” through the Biesbosch while I had a swimming beaver in my sights.
I got to a T-junction and the beaver decided to deflect to the right. While I also started to steer to the right, I looked to the left for a while.
I saw in the #spiegeling of the #spiegelgladde water a heron sitting on a tree branch, just above the water surface.

But I decided to take a closer look. He seemed a bit small to me for a blue heron.
I decided the #bever let go about it and go #uncover what's actually just above the #watersurface sat.

My heart took a small leap.

It turned out to be a juvenile (young) Kwak.
A quack is a fairly rare heron species.

In 2020, there were an estimated 35 to 40 known breeding cases throughout the Netherlands

But my heart jumped again, only now a little higher :-)

It turned out that nl. in addition to the Kwak in juvenile rug, also sit a young adult specimen.

An equally beautiful and rare bird, only in a more mature plumage.
However, I estimate that it was only a young one.

However, this Kwak was less served by the fact that I wanted to photograph it.
I was allowed to take a few pictures, after which he flew away and didn't show himself again.
