Sermon on power
Follow-up story Kalle and Pietje, part 100
The next Sunday the sermon in the church is about Matthew 20. It's a thematic service about deploying your power. We may our power and use our authority to show God's greatness and goodness to the people around us, according to the preacher. Not ruling, but serving.
Kalle realizes that Pietje and he were in the mode of his own power for a long time. But in the Bible it says that change does not come through force or violence, but through God's Spirit.. And Jesus showed us in word and deed very clearly the power of serving. Simply be there for the other.
This living bread he takes from this service. For him, this is a message full of crumbs of hope and of new inspiration. He is curious how Pietje will react when he calls tomorrow.
