On the backside of the house
that draws the attention
with a flower make-believe
and a little garden at bursting point
there stands a green rubbish bin
ecologically justified
concealed in a silent shadow side
in a charitable well-doing the rain seems
to glide over immaculate rows of tiles
that hook almost invisibly
to the cross of the battens
in the grasp of rusty spikes
