#fryslan #boppe Koos has lived in Friesland for almost 2 years now and has the EXCELLENT to his liking.
Many acquaintances of Koos wonder what are you doing there?

Koos has found that many people do not know what is possible in Friesland.
For not Friesland sounds far away, feeling even further than Groningen but... the infrastructure
takes you to Amsterdam in an hour via the afsluitdijk of Harlingen.

Frisians don't think it's always cold in Friesland. Comes from the naming and the elfstedentocht. Well Koos can guarantee that the weather is no different than in the Randstad.

Not Frisians think that Frisians are stiff. Koos has not encountered one yet. It's just a matter of being open and the other reacts open back.

Not Frisians think that Kaatsen is a kind of Jeu de Boule. Koos has seen that this is an annual happening on the Sjukelan during the PC in Franeker with 10,000 visitors and in the farthest distance does not resemble Jeu de Boule.

Friesland has everything a person needs is the opinion of Koos.
Water sports, campsites, beach, endless cycling routes, nice cities with terraces and quality shops with Leeuwarden as place to be and excellent educational facilities.
No traffic jams, no high parking rates.
Not to mention cheap housing and space for living.

With 650.000 Frisians throughout Friesland, it is fortunately a lot quieter than in Amsterdam, which has 860,000 inhabitants. Leeuwarden with 107.000, Drachten with 45.000 and Sneek with 33.000 are the biggest places.

According to Koos, the Frisians are smart. Sometimes it seems as if the information about a great Friesland stops at the Afsluitdijk because the Frisians are not waiting for a huge import of non-Frisians to Friesland.

And yes the Frisians speak Frisian and that is also for Koos to get used to but it gives a permanent holiday feeling.
