Today, Sunday 21 August, La Vuelta, one of the biggest 3 cycling rounds in the world, came a little bit through our village of Dongen. From the Rijen, Duiventorenbaan, Westerlaan, Noorderlaan and Lage Ham (direction Oosteind) to cycle on to Oosterhout.

Still quite a nice spectacle to be able to see when it comes through your own village. Especially if you think cycling is a great sport. They had quite a few spectators.

Unfortunately, we didn't go, even though John wanted to take pictures. Just a little too busy with the renovation. But we did follow it via TV (Eurosport) in between. But luckily I discovered that our neighbor had been there and I was allowed to use his photos of this fun event.
