Land of Us is a cooperative of 14,000 volunteers, which together own eight plots of land throughout the country. The members of Land of Us buy exhausted land. Together with farmers, they make agriculture more sustainable and restore biodiversity.

The Land van Ons citizens' initiative is a cooperative that buys farmland for biodiversity and landscape restoration. In biodiversity, almost everyone thinks about our nature.

However, there are plenty of organizations (such as Natural Monuments) that focus on conservation of nature reserves. We are focusing on agriculture. Until 60 years ago, there was a huge amount of biodiversity in our agricultural area. Not only did it go and deal with a lot of land: two-thirds of the Netherlands are farmland. The then small-scale farming, with a mix of arable farming and livestock farming, also created a wealth of diverse lives.

The country takes care of our food, but who cares for the country? You can walk the country walk at Lettele with the Waag walking package. You'll walk along the lands of Land of Us, a citizens' initiative that buys land and leases to farmers who restore biodiversity and landscape. Think: how do we want to take care of our country in the future? Sign up to receive the walking package. The walk is corona-proof and can be done when it suits you.
