With a little bit of appropriate humor, you can often go very far.
After all, humour is very often disarming and liberating.
With a little good self-deprecation, you are often the other person already a
step ahead, if you can laugh with your own stupidities and
there is no reason for the other person to laugh at you.

Of course, there are situations where you can't laugh at all.
Although I have the annoying property of being in a kind of stress slaughter
to shoot. pretty annoying, but that aside.

Yet you can see that even in very difficult circumstances, humans are still
joking around and seeing the humor (or ridiculousness) of something.

Laughter also does something to our body and mind. It break
often the tension, physical and mental. A laugh often also gives us
hope, courage and a kind of reassurance. After all, if we can still laugh at something, then it will often be okay or it is not all that dramatic.

Laughter is also a social thing. How often do you see that you are more likely to ask someone for help in a strange city smiling at you kindly,. just like there's some kind of reassurance. People who have a similar sense of humor are often also experienced as pleasant to deal with. Finally, laughter is also very contagious.

Life is sometimes a tearfulness, but try to keep seeing the humour in everything. In this way, you will continue to have a positive mindset spiritually. and in the end, that takes you much further.

In Flanders, we say: “Laughter is healthy” and there is a lot of truth in it. It even seems scientifically proven that people who laugh sincerely have a better immune system.
