Laundry detergent recipe
Years ago I came across the recipe as can be read next door and tried it out and I was very satisfied with it. It is a great way to make savings and not to burden the environment.
I often use Marseille soap that in Germany buy at the DM (drugstore) or biodegradable soap. I grate the soap with a knife or with a cheese slicer.
Before I started this, I kept bottles containing detergent. I just use it again and again. If you don't have enough, you can always ask in your area if people want to keep the bottles.
The last time I made it I bought the soda and soap at the DM (Germany) for 1.80 euros. I don't remember exactly how many grams of soap I had, but it was over 40 grams. I have been able to fill 3 to 4 large bottles with it several times. I make larger quantities and always add water. I like to use liquid detergent. If I wanted to use the gel I filled wax bulbs that I had saved (unfortunately they disappeared at the last move). I filled the bulbs in advance and kept them in a box.
