Lazy or smart?

Casper is a dog with a lot of energy, but sometimes... sometimes he'd rather be lazy than tired.
“Look, Cas, here's a stick! Snuff it. I'm gonna throw it away, and then you're gonna get it. Ok?!” Alanis gave the big four-legged friend a pat on his side. The stick kept them good for his snout. He was sniffing, but it didn't get him really wild.
“Good look, there he goes!” - with a hard panache went the stick.
“Well, then go. Grab the stick!!”
Casper looked up a little bit, to Alanis, but he really didn't come from his place.
“What kind of a dog are you??? Go get that stick, man!”
Cas slowly wagging his tail through the water.
“Mom..., we really have a lazy dog! He just doesn't do it.” Alanis chuckled and stroked the big lobes again.
“You're a little lazy, aren't you? And maybe you're a little dumb, too. But that doesn't matter, because you are very sweet!” The fool didn't lack attention.
We all looked at the dog who would rather be lazy than tired. Suddenly..., suddenly he came to life! He took a step to the left - opened his mouth - and so caught the stick that floated back with the current.
