Those who look closely at an adult blue heron will see that he has a crest on the head. Normally, when the animal is calm, it hangs like long strings of feathers along its head over the shoulders. The crest gives the heron a certain extra decorativeness (which the animal already has) and makes it even more beautiful. Still, the crest has another function. The bird can also set up the crest. if the heron is disturbed by a predator, the full crest rises. This makes the heron appear bigger and hopes to deter the attacker. In the mating season, the crest also goes into the air, but then this act is precisely intended to lure female. like: “Look at me being beautiful with my full crest”
Crazy thing actually such a crest: Meant to scare off and put on. Fear and love both use the crest as a means. That has something human.
