#Leonie is a woman in her 40s, she could be your neighbor. After her divorce, she builds her new life. With neighbor Mandy she has dinner appointments of the good kind: Mandy cooks! Love also comes around the corner, with all the consequences that entails.

They were still on their dessert when the bell rang. Ismay ran to the door. It was Mandy. “Hai!” she already shouted in the hallway. “It's the neighbor,” Ismay explained when she came back into the room with Mandy in her wake. “Oh, you're still eating,” concluded Mandy. Leonie nodded. “Yes, but it doesn't matter. Do you want to? Straciatellayoghurt”, she said with a nod to her dish. “Ow, if you still have, just a little bit,” said Mandy. Leonie got up and walked into the kitchen while Mandy took his seat at the dining area. When Leonie walked back into the room with a bowl of yogurt for Mandy, Mandy was having a little chat with the kids. Leonie put the bowl down for Mandy and sat down again.

“What I wanted to ask, isn't your TV working? Mine isn't doing it, I just wanted to know if there's a malfunction or something.” Mandy gave Leonie a wink. Martijn stood up directly from the table and pressed the button on the remote control. Immediately the sound of a cartoon shone throughout the room. “Fortunately, our TV is still working”, Martijn concluded with relief. He came back to the table. “Wouldn't you turn him off again?” said Leonie. “But this one is fun!” Martijn said. “Off”, said Leonie and looked at Martijn penetrating. “Please, no television while eating. Out of that thing.” Martijn got up sighing and turned off the TV again. “You are so old-fashioned,” he grumbled at his mother. “Probably,” said Leonie as she looked at Mandy. That chucked.

When the dishes were empty, the children stood up from the table and brought their dishes to the kitchen. Apparently things didn't go well in the kitchen. “Do ff normal!” “You push me to the side, I stood there first!” Julia and Martijn got in the way of each other, as it was often. With the tarpaulin they came back into the room in a row. Leonie tried to calm the temper a bit. What happened was actually quite common and every teenage mother recognizes it, but Leonie was moving in Mandy and she didn't know it. Martijn gave his sister a push and she stumbled and almost lost her balance. “Gay!” Julia cried out to her little brother. “You're a lesbian yourself!” Martijn bit his sister. Leonie got it hot. “So! Ready now, you! Both to your room, get out!” She stood up and pointed to the hallway. “Now!” she added. For a moment it seemed that Julia wanted to give a big mouth, but he too seemed to realize that Mandy was sitting at the table. She had Mandy high, so she didn't want to make herself a child. “I'm going to do homework,” Julia said to save her reputation. She threw a fierce look at Martijn and disappeared into her room. Leonie looked at Martijn angry. “What? I'm not doing anything, am I?” he tried to save what was to save. “Okay, okay, I'm going...” he said when he realized it was serious. Ismay came into the room like an angel and asked in a sweet voice: “Can I watch television?” Martijn looked angry at his younger sister when he walked out of the room. “Yes, honey, you can watch TV,” said Leonie. She grinned at Mandy.
A little later, Ismay was installed in front of the television. “Sorry for just now”, said Leonie. “You mean gay lesbian screams,” Mandy said as she laughed. “Eh, yes. I always hated that, but now... you get it.” She nodded to Ismay, who was immersed in a cartoon, but you never knew what those ears were still caught. Mandy nodded.
