#Leonie is a woman in her 40s, she could be your neighbor. After her divorce, she builds her new life. With neighbor Mandy she has dinner appointments of the good kind: Mandy cooks! Love also comes around the corner, with all the consequences that entails.

The next day, Leonie decided that it was time to teach Ismay to ride to school himself. She was now nine years old and it was spring, so a good time to take a look at this. Leonie did not like cycling and should now believe herself to get on the bike a few times, but it would also make her a lot of ease if she didn't have to bring Ismay to school anymore. Letting Ismay ride with Martijn was not a good idea either, as Martijn came into a tough phase and didn't want to be seen with his little sister anymore.

“We are going out together this afternoon,” Leonie reported to Ismay when she took her out of school on Wednesday. Ismay looked at her mother curiously. “We go cycling to school together”. Ismay frowned her eyebrows. “But I am free this afternoon!” she cried out. “Yes, I know,” laughed Leonie, “but we are going to practice by bike. So you can cycle to school yourself soon.” Ismay didn't seem very enthusiastic. “But I can already ride a bike right?” “Yes, you can, but we're going to take a closer look at how to cycle and where to cross and so on.” “But... do I have to ride a bike when it rains?” Leonie burst into laughter. Ah, that bothered Ismay! She found it comfortable in the back of the car and was afraid that she would rain wet or get cold. “Spring is getting warmer, but it will rain sometimes, but we will see that again.” Ismay clearly thought this was a less fun aspect of getting bigger.

After they had eaten a sandwich, Leonie decided to put the word straight away. “Come! Let's go!” she said to Ismay. He was a bit humming, but he noticed that there was no escape from it. Together they got on the bike. Luckily Leonie realized in time that Ismay could not remember what was left and right, that was a little bit of intertwined bikes and broken knees and elbows. In no time they were at school, which looked deserted. Leonie saw that Ismay noticed, too. “What is it quiet in the square now?” she expressed Ismay' s thoughts. “Yes, that looks crazy.” At that moment, the school door opened and Ismay's teacher came out. “Hey, miss is still there!” Ismay exclaimed enthusiastically. The teacher heard it and looked their way. “Hey Ismay, did you miss me?” she asked smiling as she came closer. “We are practicing,” Ismay explained, “to be able to cycle to school ourselves.” “Geez, how good of you!” praised the teacher Ismay. “Well, good luck!” The teacher disappeared from sight again. “Is, if we were cycling home and then going to school again, then you drive ahead and I can see if you know a little bit,” suggested Leonie. Ismay looked sip. “On the way back, why don't we get such a tasty Vietnamese spring roll for us?” Look, that's what Ismay's face cleared up again. Leonie also thought it was a good motivation for himself. Certain things from mother were less fun, and that definitely included the activity of this afternoon!
