Actually I should have left half an hour earlier, because the sunset was already spectacular! I live in Deventer and at the Wilhelmina Bridge many people were photographing, beautiful. I was in the car and couldn't easily stop there. AND I had a mission, of course!
At 10 o'clock I sat on my spot, at Welsum on the dike. A bench, my tripod with device, a bottle of water and a nice view! Oh yeah, and bug spray, because there were a lot of bugs! The turrets didn't care much about the insect spray by the way, they just came rattling around my head!
This was at 10 a.m., right after sunset:

At 11 o'clock it was already darker. And indeed, the high patches of ice clouds were lit up by the sun's rays that still came along the Earth. It seems that there was very little wind in the high air layers, because I did not see the characteristic wavy movement of the light night clouds unfortunately.
