Juan Gabriel is one of the most recognizable names in Latin American music, mainly because of his 500-language music compositions in his illustrious career and his flamboyant style, which broke the die for Latin artists in the 1990s and increased Gabriel to fame. Also known as Juanga or “El Divo de Juárez” (“The Diva of Juarez”), Gabriel continued to sell more than 100 million records worldwide and produced 19 studio albums from his first 'Gracias Por Esperar' to the 2016 'Vestido de Etiqueta por Eduardo Magallanes', which reached number one in the Latin charts of the billboard. On August 28, 2016, just a few months after the release of his latest album, 'Los Dúo, Volume II', Gabriel died in his home in Santa Monica, California as a result of a heart attack while he was still on tour. He received two posthumous Latin Grammy Awards for the album.
