Limburg dialect writing

As you know, my bios says that I write in Limburg dialect. I am a native of Sittard so I am a laammaeker (old Sittard word that means taking someone by the nose in a humorous way) the biggest laammaeker was Toon Hermans, who doesn't know him!

I would like to and therefore I ask the question: “is there a need for stories in dialect form”.

In the old days, people talked and did not write or little . Nowadays one writes and talks...

I will try to clarify my question with some pictures (verduchi).

As a guest writer, I am proud of pages 40 and 41 of Platbook 24. How to be nominated as a writer? You create a story with the title. In this case Taegewèndj (headwind).

The editors read and review the submissions. The chosen ones receive the book free of charge. The Limburg culture has been saved again to another edition. And so on.

I hope to save the dialect form. Even though I move sle hgs a small grain in the Sahara wasteland... HahaHan

Like to respond, advise, or something else. This is very much appreciated to me. Perhaps there are yoo'rsters or yoo'rers who have a warm heart for regional and/or dial forms

Dialect should definitely be kept, I think this is important. But I would say if you put something on Yoors in dialect, that you always add the Dutch language form, because it is not always evident, also here in Flanders with the dozens of dialects, to understand everything.

Although I like dialects, I never read them, but I agree with you that dialects should remain. Whether here on Yoors is the right place depends on your followers. Do you have people who understand your dialect, and follow you? Then I'd go for it!
