Lion of paper cup
Also with toddlers and preschoolers you can make very nice crafts! The children can easily cut strips and paste strips themselves. And what do you get when you stick orange strips on a yellow cup? A funny and sweet lion with wild mane. Easy done, and fun to put down! I'm sure you understand how to make this lion, but we've only taken a few steps of it anyway. And the method is:... Cut... and paste! :)

Large coloured paper cups are available at Action. If you don't have those, you can also paint white paper cups yellow first of course. Further you will need scissors, an orange leaf and a small piece of yellow folding leaf for the ears. We use Collall paste in a jar. The glue dries up invisibly and is easy to apply from the pot with a brush!

Fold the orange leaf in half and cut it. Then let them cut thin strips, that does not have to be straight and with equal thicknesses! When the strips are cut, they can be glued to the inverted cup.
If the children find that difficult, you could still use marker to indicate the βoval faceβ, which does not need to be pasted there.

Glue the cup around the face, with a brush it is super easy. Stick a first round first, then turn around until the strips run out.
