Richard Wayne Penniman (December 5, 1932 — May 9, 2020) known under the stage name #LittleRichard , was an American singer and pianist. He is one of the most important founding fathers of rock 'n' roll. He is often mentioned in the same breath with Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly. Through the use of the piano his rock shows similarities with Jerry Lee Lewis, on the other hand with that of Fats Domino, while with a great emphasis on appearance and characteristic high pitchings he is seen as a precursor to glam rock.
