About 17 years ago yes it's been so long ago I got sick. Not sick, but my heart started pumping differently than usual. Not 70 to 80 beats per minute, but 180-200 beats per minute. That about half an hour and then it was over.
The first thing the general practitioner thinks of: “stress madam”. Yes could be busy job, stressful relationship and more of those things.
Until November 2003 I was done with it. Off to the GP. Low blood pressure! Yeah, normal for me. Heart rate 200 per minute. Still go to the hospital for ECG and the cardiologist. Yeah, that's when the party really started.
Directly to the ICU and later to cardiac surveillance. I turned out to have ARVC. (search on Google).
This wrong gene turned out to be very active and aggressive in my body. Within 10 years I had to #harttransplantatie - Yes.
Fortunately, this happened, and I got a second chance of life.
I am my #donor and her/his family very grateful. Also because I can now fulfill my creative dream.
Now I get to make images and give workshops. I get to enjoy life in small and big things.
