Lock and key

A story of three siblings discovering magical keys which unlock secrets and powers, Locke and key is based upon 2 seasons. The series premiered on Netflix in 2020 and 2021. It features Darby Stanchfield, Emilia Jones, Connor Jessup, Jackson Robert Scott, Petrice Jones, Laysla De Oliveira, and Griffin Gluck.

Premise:

Rendell Locke gets killed by the former student Sam Lesser. Nina, the wife of Locke along with her kids Tyler, Bode, and Kinsey move from Seattle to Massachusetts. They start living in the ancestral keyhouse of Rendell. The children discover some mysterious keys which unlock certain doors. They also come to know that some demon is also looking for the keys making the serial even more interesting.

Storyline:

Season 1

The season opens with a man inserting key in his chest after receiving a call which result in the whole house being incinerated. The Locke family then moves to the Rendell’s ancestral keyhouse. Tyler is the eldest son and Kinsey is their daughter. Both of them get admitted to school, while Bode, the younger sibling hears weird whispers and discovers some magical keys. Some of the keys he discovers are the anywhere key, head key, ghost key, Mending key, omega key, shadow key, music box key, plant key, and the mirror key. They use the key for various purposes.

When echo tries to snatch the head key from Bode, he realizes the echo can only take the key if he allows. Echo returns and gives Matchstick Key to Sam, and tells him the instructions. When Nina sees scars on Ellie’s body similar to that of Rendell’s she becomes suspicious. When Sam makes his way to keyhouse he demands to give back the head key to which kinsey that the key is buried outside. When Sam comes back tyler applies the head key upon him and comes to know that he was not the cause of Rendell’s death. As the season comes to end, Tyler and Kinsey moves towards black door and get the list of ‘keepers of the key’. They then find omega key in the ashes of Rendell. When Dodge gets hold of both crown of shadows and the shadow key, she redirects them to strike the keyhouse. Eden gets possessed by the demonic bullet.

Season 2

Season 2 marks the danger still lurking to the siblings while they unlock family secrets. The season opens with Kinsey preparing for the premiere of their squad’s horror movie and Duncan arriving at the keyhouse. Gabe develops a wicked association with Eden. Tyle gets concerned about the memory loss problem of Jackie and Gabe investigates the lockes about information of the keys. Gabe attempts to develop a wedge between scot and kinsey. Bode discovers another mysterious key. Gabe gets involved in Tyler’s search for memory key and kinsey gets to know about eden. Accelerating threats and destructive loss lead the siblings into fierce shutdown with Doge. Bode back at house meets a shocking visitor.
