In exchange for the walk I promised myself yesterday mowed the grass around the house. My lawns are originally meadow so grass is a term that barely covers the load. At least half of them are weeds which gives some nice flowers here and there but is actually not the intention. Scrolling on my knees, I've been sticking out wheelbarrows full of weeds in recent years, but it's fighting the beer quay. Anyway, if it's just mowed, it looks acceptable. Except for that one corner where, for years, since we ran out of horses, our horse carriage and a sleigh stood. They are now gone, but a large field of weeds of the most stubborn species. So that really will be many hours on the knees.

I gave up the hope of a really even lawn that you can whizze over with your mower years ago. For decades, according to Romanian practice, all the debris has been used to raise the yard, and this wonderfully seeks a way to the surface and ravages the blades of the mower machine. Heavy rain showers cause small landslides because the yard runs down. After breakages and blockages, the yard was opened again to replace pipes. With far-sighted eyes, a small hill is left when filling the slots. That ground sounds back in, but it takes years. If you don't, then over time, you'll be with all sorts of trenches and subsidence. The dogs also contribute by doing some digging every now and then and don't flatten the moles either.

All in all, mowing is more like an obstacle race full of unexpected blows and pops when the knife hits a stone again, the dry soil of the molehills flies around your ears or you keep the machine stuck in the next hole. Yesterday so really had enough exercise and today a good dose of muscle pain.

The people are becoming impatient and during the President's Question Time most questions were about when and what will be opened soon. I admire the way in which President Klaus Johannis always answers the questions in a friendly tone. The man radiates a tremendous peace and sees the opportunity to explain everything in a way that is understandable to everyone, mentioning both the points on which things went wrong and the successes that have been achieved. Romania is not doing bad so far with 34 deaths per million inhabitants. The number of infected individuals also seems to be a bit reduced. The only thing he excites himself every now and then are the politicians who use this crisis to spread populist talk around and secure their position at the next elections, which, incidentally, may be postponed. And let that be mainly politicians of the parties who have in the past ensured that only their own position was strengthened and strategic stocks were reduced to zero, for example.

In any case, the lilacs do not care about the crisis and adorn the environment with their abundance of flowers and the corresponding smell. Such a pity that they usually do badly on the vase and hang out after a day. The wait is for the peonies, they are also almost ready to snap.

All a healthy and floral day.
