Luck smiles at me again
Still dreaming about yesterday, a strange grimace crossed my face; the missed dessert apparently bothered me more than I wanted to admit. Normally, I'm not a dessert person, but the table discussions seemed to be just about ice cream, puffs, fruit, fried bacon and whipped cream. Just when I was about to go for it, I was stopped. The fireworks were coming, so they wanted us all there. All children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To end my mother's ninetieth birthday. So I said goodbye to my dessert.
Drip, drip, drip.
Is it the thought of all that goodies to get the drool out of my mouth? no. My lips are closed. An alarm is slowly sounding in my head, my eyes are scanning the room where I'm sitting. Yes. Leakage. Just not above my keyboard. A stroke of luck on blue monday.
