Macramé bracelets
If you tie with threads so that a pattern appears, you are working on macrame. It's a funny handicraft technique for young and old. And what fun can you make with it! We all know the window hangers and wall hangers and plant pot hangers, right? And the beautiful feathers of wire? Also here at Yoors a number of pieces have been made with the macrame technique. It's not very difficult, but you need to master it for a while. Also a bracelet is quite easy to make, also for children!
Miss Indra from Brussels has made friendship bands together with the children. That was at the campsite, with the kids' club. There are nice straps made, in different colors and made with the straight base button and also with the twisted macrame knot. You start with 4 threads, which you can attach to the top with adhesive tape to the table, or you put something heavy on top. With the outer threads make the knot, with the inner two threads round the knot.
There are two basic buttons, a straight knot and a twisted knot. If you make several straight knots under each other, it will give a flat line. If you tie the threads with the twisted knot, you will get a spiral shape!
