MAKE 3D POSTCARDS WITH YOUR LASER

A simple way for making 3D cards is to include plinths to make your objects stand up
Open your favorite image in a drawing program like Inkscape or Lightburn lasercut software. Add small rectangles with a hight (a bit smaller then your wood thickness) Make a copy and move the original triangle to just go over the bottom of your object. Select rectangle and obeject and just the weld function. This will add a small extra piece to your object in the way that it wil fit in the plinths.

Depending your lasercut software you can add small bridges along the cutting lines of your object so it stays initially in the postcard.
Before using it you've to put the objects gently to be free of the card.

Add another shape for the plinth and paste the small rectangle somewhere in the middle. It most keep your object balanced.

Ad a larger box for cutting out the postcard itself. Make the corners round for a nice finish.
