#make The beginning of a 3D dog

As a balloon artist, you also want your work to last forever.
Of course you can do that by taking pictures of your work, but a 3D printed dog would be a lot of fun.
The pushed with 3d software didn't end me well and I decided to look for a 3d scanner.

We found the Makerslab in Ede where we could use an Einstein-Pro scanner.
Made the models in advance and we were able to get started. We started with a dog on the turntable, but that didn't give the desired result. A balloons dog kind of distorts when you put it on a different side and the software couldn't merge the images properly.

We had a variety of sizes and colours to try it out.

Hand scanning was better off for us, and the results were quickly visible via the on-screen software.

We couldn't resist trying to capture the scanner, but unfortunately only partially succeeded.
The blue dog on screen is the end result of the doggy scan. That goes home on a usb stick.
