Creating an Easter Calligram

In my previously written blog I told you what a Calligram is. I added this blog below so you can read it again.

Easter theme calligram:

What's so much fun about a Calligram? You learn how to color through words in a completely different way. This creates a colourful painting that looks pretty funny. It is quite a focus work so more suitable for older children. You can offer it in a simpler form for the youngest children. For example, you can have them fill in an image with the words learned. e.g. moon writing in a moon image.

For this occasion I made a rooster. I printed out the rooster first as an image. Draw this picture with pencil. You go to the rooster with the colours of a fine-writer or marker with appropriate words. Bij de haan is dat e.g. comb, lel, feather, beak etc. After writing the words and drying the ink, erase the pencil lines.

The egg works in the same way. You also draw this form first with pencil and fill in with words such as: Easter egg, dot, zig-zag, stripe etc. Erase the pencil lines again after drying.

Once finished, you can hang them up, stick them on a colored background, or make a big card. just what you like.!
