Make your own money
In the games room and school there is often a shopping corner where the children can play shop. The children buy and sell things together, and often use a cash register, a scale and more real store attributes to make the shops as real as possible. Toy money is then something that should of course not be missing. You can use plastic or cardboard money, but how nice is it, if you have real silver and gold coins made of clay! They weigh a bit heavier and are much more fun to buy and sell than plastic coins.
Miss Britt is a kindergarten teacher and makes his own (small) money from self-drying clay, so that the children learn to deal with money in a playful way. They have become really nice coins! In addition, the coins can be used for many purposes such as math games or in other playing corners where money is used. And if you have the theme pirates, then these gold and silver coins are all top!

Miss Brit tells:
I first made the change with self-drying clay, by pushing out molds. This can be done with a round clay cutter, but if you don't have it, it could also be done with a cap of, for example, a stickstick. Afterwards allow to dry well, for several hours. Then I sprayed the first layer of gold and silver with spray can. You could also paint with ordinary silver and gold paint with a brush, but with an aerosol it will be much faster. Tip: Spray outside and on a newspaper. And then applied with the other colour, that is with a brush of course. Then I wrote the numbers on it with a waterproof black marker (an acrylic paintpen can also). You can also make coins with 3 and 4 of course.
Allow to dry well for a day and finally apply a varnish layer with an aerosol can. So it's that easy!
